About Alix
The Conscious Classroom is the brainchild of Alix Moore. Alix is a clairvoyant poet and teacher whose passion is to support children as they step into the light of their true selves. About her teacher’s journey, Alix says:
Teaching children and animals for the past twenty-five years has been both a journey and a conversation. I have come to see teaching as a playground of the soul for myself and my students. My two-legged and four-legged students have helped me learn so many of my own soul’s lessons. Along the way, I have shed many conventional teaching and training techniques and learned to rely on my own deep inner wisdom to guide my classroom decisions.

For the last ten years, I’ve taught World History at the high school level. My philosophy of teaching has always leaned towards a more holistic approach. I’m a big believer that learning is a wholly individual experience that cannot occur in a fully standardized environment. Creativity and free thought need room to breathe and my job as a teacher is to help students realize their talents and gifts.
